Working Memory Training for Veterans with PTSD

Principal Investigator: Hanjoo Lee & Sadie Larsen, Co-Investigators: Caron Dean-Bernhoft & Christine Larson

Individuals with PTSD experience unwanted intrusive thoughts that are difficult to control and occupy working memory. This suggests that PTSD may be associated with problems in controlling access of such thoughts to working memory. In this study we sought to evaluate the efficacy of cognitive computerized intervention to improve working memory and inhibitory control, thereby reducing PTSD intrusive symptoms.
