Dr. Sydney Timmer-Murillo is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery at MCW. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2021 from Marquette University, where she studied the role of affect and emotion regulation within stress and interpersonal interactions. Her research centers on examination of factors that contribute to quality of life after trauma, including understanding the trajectory of early recovery, the development of subsequent psychopathology and promoting health equity and early access to treatment.
