Izzie is a clinical research assistant for MTOP. Izzie works on eSTAR a study looking to understand changes in genetic expression and brain function after a traumatic injury. These changes may help predict risk for psychological distress, such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Also, seeking to understand how environmental, or daily, stressors may affect this risk. She is mainly interested in learning more about mental health disparities and trauma responses in children. She hopes to pursue a PhD inClinical Psychology in order to expand her knowledge of adversity, resilience, stress, and trauma.
