Graduate Student Research Assistant

Kate is a fourth year student in the neuroscience program at UWM in Dr. Larson's lab. Broadly, she is curious about how emotional regulation impacts human resilience and how cognition and emotion interact. Specifically, she is interested in utilizing neuroimaging tools to investigate the neural mechanisms responsible for regulating emotion and overcoming negative events. She currently is working on a project exploring factors, including structural brain changes, which may predict whether recent trauma-exposed individuals develop PTSD.
