Emilie is a post-baccalaureate volunteer in the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin working on the eSTAR study. This study focuses on neurologic and genetic changes as the result of a trauma, and how these changes predict risk for PTSD in addition to environmental stressors. Prior to joining MTOP, Emilie was involved in a clinical lab specializing in emotion regulation and temperament as well as a neuroscience lab using the prairie vole model. She is interested in the relationship between interpersonal trauma, nervous system functioning, and various psychosocial outcomes and hopes to pursue her doctorate in clinical psychology.
