Ale

Gonzalez-Van Wart

Research Coordinator

Ale is a post-baccalaureate research coordinator working on the PATT (Pediatric AcuteTrauma Trajectories) Study. The aim of this project is to identify risk and resilience factors for PTSD in youth victims of violence using neuroimaging, biospecimen, and self-report data. Before joining the lab, Ale worked as a research assistant for a military PTSD consortium, and as an early childhood educator. She is interested in learning more about intergenerational trauma, epigenetic stress, and how early childhood trauma and adverse experiences impact the developing brains of children and adolescents. Ale is pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology to expand her knowledge of adversity, resilience, stress, and trauma.
