Gonzalez-Van Wart

Ale is a post-baccalaureate research assistant working on the PATT (Predicting Acute Trauma Trajectories) project; studies youth victims of violence in order to better understand youth victims of violence and the risk and resilience factors for PTSD. Before joining the lab, she worked as an early childhood educator and as a research assistant for a PTSD consortium. She is mainly interested learning more about how stress and trauma affect the developing brains of children and adolescents. She hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology in order to expand her knowledge of adversity, resilience, stress, and trauma.
